two thumbs way up and a snap.
2 arnold movies, an apes movie, beyond the time barrier, back to the future 2 (in 70 mm no less), godzilla and alien make this one of the best all time line ups.

It's a good cross section of classics from well known to more obscure.  It's a little bit light on recent movies (only 2), but should be a fun mix.  Looking forward to it!

As with just about every year, there are films on the bubble as to whether a print will be made available. One such title did, and something had to go -- and, it ended up being THINGS TO COME. It was on DVD anyway, so no great print loss. And, it can come back another year

GOOD GRIEF!!! stargate would be the obvious choice for a bump off the lineup. I pretty much stated so when i related that it played on continuous loop during marathon aproximately 20 and nobody watched it. from now on i'll be more explicit and call it my bump pick of the proposed lineup.
if it's not too late try to do something to rectify this abhorrent turn of events. specifically: dump stargate and resurrect things to come!!

A. STARGATE is a rare 35mm film print
B. THINGS TO COME is on DVD. Nothing special
C. STARGATE is a formal premiere at the Marathon proper. SF/20 was only at the nightflight which few attended
