Setting aside the Time Travel theme, are there any recent Sci-Fi films to consider for this year? Because of the pandemic etc., it's been a pretty weak couple of years, but what other movies from, say, the last 10 years or so should get a slot?

I can think of a few from the past decade:

Under the Skin and Possessor are interesting loopy ones that might be good for a late-night slot when everyone's brains are fried.

For ones that are just goofy fun, there's Underwater and Upgrade.

I don't know what the availability is since Amazon bought it but The Vast of Night is an excellent UFO flick that still feels criminally underseen.

There's also the remake of The Invisible Man, Vivarium, Ad Astra, High Life, and Kin.

Haven't seen a couple that you cite. Wasn't a fan of UNDER THE SKIN - but, it would certainly open some eyeballs at 2am!

good.
avatar 2 sucks. (3 hours long. marathon killer)
king kong vs. godzilla was incredible
i suggested "the man in the white suit" to garen and he seemed receptive.
i'd like to see vanilla sky (and yes l.a. i know you prefer the peruvian version)
we vets need to keep the new crowd of little ones enthused.

First set of movies announced on their podcast.  Alien, Godzilla, Stargate and Things to Come.  The remaining 9 movies to be announced on their podcast in 2 weeks.

i wholeheartedly second the nomination of terminator three. it's arnold versus a female terminator who everyone incorrectly swears was played by beyonce. she was so effective at getting the human male adversaries off their guard by faking sexual attraction or faking damsel in distress. if the designers were able to see how effective it was they will would have said "why didn't we think of this before?"
later teminators 4,5 were complete derails. 6 was ok but i'd skip it.
