GODZILLA MINUS ONE is a tough act to follow, and the new Amercian entry is getting whacked by critics with a 54% score on Rotten Tomatoes (and a woeful 35% with Top Critics). Metacritic has it at a 47.

After Godzilla Minus One all other Godzilla films are bound to feel like self indulgent, over produced pablum. I'm glad Toho is getting paid for licensing there premiere IP, but the US films aren't good.
