Hello all.  My name is Rick, and I've now been to the 'Thon twice, in 2012 and 2013.  I have high hopes for future attendance as well.

My question is about the appropriateness of requesting for help related to a friend.  The short version is, he's asked me to reach out to people who review sci-fi movies on blogs and the like.  I know some folks here do handle such reviews, but I want to know how kosher it is to bring up his request in full (promise, it's not a money request).

Beyond that, I'll finish with my favorite 'Thon memory so far.  In 2013, during War Of The Worlds:Goliath, there's a scene where they focus on a pair of glasses that got stepped on.  I whispered to my friend Dan, who got me to the 'Thon in the first place, "It's just not fair!"  Later, when they showed the Twilight Zone ep "Time Enough At Last," I was slack-jawed and Dan looked at me in amazement.

It might not be fair, but it's hilariously serendipitous.

If it's just about guidance or advice about reviewing - go for it.

Funny, I knew the "surprise" screening was going to be that Twilight Zone episode, but, I don't think I caught that WOW: GOLIATH connection!
