Jonathan Frid - Dark Shadows (Read 6078 times)

The orginal Barnabas Collins, JONATHAN FRID, has passed on. A lifelong stage actor, Frid brought class and theatricality to the relative few filmed roles. He also starred in the feature film version of DARK SHADOWS.

He also appeared in Oliver Stone's first film, SEIZURE as well as the TV horror film THE DEVIL'S DAUGHTER.

Frid has a cameo in the upcoming, DARK SHADOWS film, so we will have one final chance to see his work.

I can only hope that his cameo is more on the order of that of Maria Von Trapp in the Sound of Music movie (not noticable unless you know exactly what to look for, when and where), because the trailer now playing on TV makes the film look like -- well, let's just say that Johnny Depp is an extremely talented performer, but he's no Abbot and/or Costello....
