I’ld like to suggest Day of the Triffids, which hasn’t been seen since sf 2, and The Green Slime.

Highly unlikely, Lile.  The rights -- as well as the prints & all elements -- are privately owned by someone who rarely allows the movie to be shown.  Hes pretty protective.
To say hes obsessive would be an understatement.

You & Tony!  This is an awful movie.  But sure, no problem, as long as you dont mind watching a DVD.  I know of no available prints.
We can all be thankful for that!   Wink

I have seen the future, and it is sucky digital....

GREEN SLIME is near the top of the list. Unfortunately, it is only available via Blu Ray.

And, as DDK notes, the owner of DAY OF THE TRIFFIDS is, to put it very mildly, a kook. He's been working on a 'restoration' for years and years. It apparently played as an "in progress" work at a TCM festival. Since then the guy has spurned offers from DVD distributors. He thinks he's sitting on gold so he won't sell the rights nor take the reasonable offers for distribution. He's one of those guys that would rather sit on his losses rather than sell. It sucks.

Thars only two possibilities:Thar is life out there in the universe which is smarter than we are,or we're the most intelligent life in the universe.Either way, it's a mighty sobering thought-WaltKelly

Just to throw in an oddball title, how about the 1967 Bond parody, Casino Royale.
There's enough sci-fi content to make it eligible and it's become one of those time capsule movies for the era it was made in.
Plus it'd look great on the Somerville's big screen if a print could be found.

I can't complain but sometimes I still do. Life's been good to me so far.
