Patrick Macnee died. He was 93.
Best known for his role as John Steed in The Avengers
who epitomized, even more than Bond, the suave, capable British secret agent.
Like most British actors he came from a stage background. Both before and after the Avengers he played in a number of films.
The camp nature of the show featured Steed's kick ass, kinky boot female co-stars, and weird plots that as the show continued featured inventions, SF & fantasy elements.
But basically it, and Macnee, were just fun.

Thars only two possibilities:Thar is life out there in the universe which is smarter than we are,or we're the most intelligent life in the universe.Either way, it's a mighty sobering thought-WaltKelly
