Spock has returned to Vulcan. One of the most iconic figures in filmed Sci-Fi, LEONARD NIMOY has passed on.

He was seen just last week at the Marathon in a brief role in THEM!

Heres a good article on his passing. A truly decent man, a generous actor, and someone who used his iconic status to do some good in this world.
A great loss for us all.

We'd have to overlook the fact that that movie sucks as badly as your politics. Lets remember that Mr Nimoy was very, very, very much on the left. Star Trek IV would be the better choice. Or II. Or VI. All available in 70mm (hint, hint).

I have seen the future, and it is sucky digital....

Any 70mm TREK film would always be welcome. We've shown the '78 INVASION OF THE BODY SNATCHERS fairly recently.

We never have shown THE BRAIN EATERS where Nimoy has a small supporting role (larger than that in THEM!). It's actually not a half-bad little film based on a Heinlein novel. And, it's only 60 minutes long.

A month after the death of Leonard Nimoy, his son Adam Nimoy has announced plans to produce and direct a documentary about his father titled “For the Love of Spock.”

The project is aimed at celebrating the 50th anniversary of “Star Trek,” which aired for the first time on Sept. 8, 1966. Zachary Quinto, who portrayed the Spock character in last two “Star Trek” films, will narrate the documentary...
