I was a bit too young and not living in the USA at the height of EC comics.  I first discovered the genius of Al Feldstein through the wonders of MAD magazine.  Fortunately for me, my other had a great sense of humor (she also wanted me to become fluent in English) and she let me read MAD magazine, which she herself read.  MAD magazine is largely responsible for developing my sense of humor (I like satire, parody and general wiseassery. I love creating silly lyrics to old songs and the occasional vulgarism is very much appreciated.  Years later I discovered EC comics and fell in love with this man's talents all over again.  Morality plays in the form of lurid and graphic horror comics with twist endings are terrific. The group of amazing writers and artists associated with EC and MED will never be matched, IMHO.

As for his passing, I will quote his alter ego, Alfred E., WHAT, ME WORRY?  RIP, sir, you were a sun source of endless happy memories.
