LORENZO SEMPLE JR. who helped create the 60s Batman TV series and later went on to write this past year's Marathon hit, FLASH GORDON, has passed on. He also wrote the '76 KING KONG and SHEENA.

I got to work with Lorenzo on the John Stamos-Gene Simmons epic, NEVER TOO YOUNG TO DIE and ran into him one last time a few years ago at a Comic Convention. Nice man.

Semple didn't just write light-weight stuff, either. Amongst his notable credits are PRETTY POISON, THE PARALLAX VIEW, THREE DAYS OF THE CONDOR and PAPILLON.
