Quite a slate of movies at the Coolidge this weekend.  Antiviral, Upstream Color, Room 237 and midnights with Altered States.  I haven't seen the other but I do recommend Altered States to anyone who has not seen it.  Sensory deprivation and hallucinogens end up leading John Hurt down a mighty strange path.

I bring you peace. It may be the peace of plenty and content or the peace of unburied death.

Strange indeed, particularly since he wasn't in the movie. The eighties brought us John Hurt, (Alien) John Heard (Cat People) and William Hurt (Altered States, last seen at the 'thon in Dark City). This gives me an idea for another quiz!---world of hurt?
