Here's one that as far as I know has never played the 'Thon:

Dr. Who and the Daleks, featuring Peter Cushing as the controversial, non-canonical Doctor.

And here's the trailer for Time Bandits, which has played the 'Thon before but should be noted simply because it's a hilarious bit of marketing:

Would love either movie at the 'thon. The Dr Who movie was in Venezuel and wound up in a Midwestern state a couple of days after the 'thon.

THE FIFTH ELEMENT.

Well, it does look good (as does Milla  Wink). Bonus: No Chris Tucker yucks in the trailer:

Come on. Wouldn't you love to be able to have a grungy 35mm tattered print run through those projectors one last time?

Saw this on local TV years ago. Doubt any prints exist. So, obviously not shown at a Marathon. Darren McGavin and Nick Adams in....

MISSION MARS

that was so classic. the spacesuits were long underwear. they found a russian cosmonaut and thawed him out. the rocket exhausts were propane torches. the acting was bad.

Oh, it's pretty bad. As many have noted MISSION MARS is a film that was a good 10 years past it's 50s B Movie era. Imagine going to see MISSION MARS right after seeing 2001: A SPACE ODYSSEY?????????

One of the more disappointing SF films of the 00's - Brian DePalma's
MISSION TO MARS
. There's a pretty good reason it didn't show, even when it could have gotten one of the "Films from the Previous Year" slots: It stinks!

DePalma, like John Carpenter, is one of those directors who started off brightly, but really fell off the map artistically. How could DePalma have a sequence where we see astronauts get fried alive in space and then THE VERY NEXT SCENE are the surviving crew dancing and floating weightlessly as they rock out to "Jump" by Van Halen??! "Hey, our friends just got roasted. Let's Dance!!" Real sensitive there, Brian!
