Richard Gordon, producer of such SF and Horror films as FIEND WITHOUT A FACE, THE PROJECTED MAN, THE ELECTRONIC MONSTER and THE HAUNTED STRANGLER has passed on. His 60s creature feature ISLAND OF TERROR with Peter Cushing showed way back at SF/7. It contained the unintentionally funny line, "No Bones!" Some guy who lives in L.A. helped find the print.  I've tried for years to get FIEND WITHOUT A FACE shown. There is a print. Wouldn't mind seeing PROJECTED MAN at the Marathon and THE ELECTRONIC MONSTER is an interesting curiosity.
Richard Gordon wasn't just a stuffy producer. He was, right up to the end, a FAN as well. He would appear at conventions, contribute to books and magazine articles and even personally write letters to the editor.
Mr. Gordon will be missed.  Cry
