I realized a few days ago, to my horror, that my upcoming visit to D.C. (for my twin nieces' first birthday) conflicts with the Thon. It's going to be only my second missed Thon since 1996. I'm a little heartbroken.

I'm hoping some good can come out of this terrible, terrible tragedy. I was thinking, perhaps there might be someone out there who wants to go but can't comfortably afford it? If anybody knows anyone meeting that description, or has any other ideas about something useful I could do with my ticket, let me hear it.

I may know someone who may benefit from obtaining a ticket. A serviceman who would enjoy a day of sci-fi goodness.
