The UK's Gerry Anderson best known to marathons fans as the man responsible for Thinderbirds Are Go due to the fact that the feature appeared in back to back years.  SF13 and SF14.  The plan had been to screen Thundwebird 6 (the sequel) at SF14.  Unfortunately, we received THunderbirds Are Go and had to watch the puppet feature again.  However, contrary to what some revisionists have suggested Thunderbirds Are Go was not hated the first time that it played.  Actually, it was seen as fairly entertaing and comical THE FIRST TIME AROUND.  It was not met with derision until the second showing.

Anyway, to kids of the 60's/70's  Gerry and Sylvia Andersons puppets and live action series appeared all over television.  Supercar, Fireball XL5, Stingray, Captain Scarlet, Thunderbirds, Terrahawks, Joe 90 as well as live action Space 1999, UFO, The Protectors and the live action Journey To The Far Side Of The Sun were all Anderson works.
