ok. here's the trailer. imdb gives a release date of july 25. does anybody know where? check ou the portrayal of the president of the united started. we really should get this for the marathon.

A good time was had by all. Fun Film. Great audience. Hopefully got some people sitting around us to join the marathon in February.

Yes, yes, great fun indeed. No one was safe from its satirical swipes (apparently that was a positive outcome of its being a Finnish film - it could poke fun at everyone with impunity). Wonderfully arcane mechanical CG contraptions. Very amusing Chaplin scenes.
It would provide much amusement at an SFM (note "Moon" theme suggestion elsewhere in this site). it would also work well in an "End of the World As We Know It" themed event... (Sorry, was that too subtle?)
Thanks for the suggestion, links, trailers, etc. I don't get out much, these days, but this was worth the trip North.

The film premiered at the Berlin Film Festival in April and has slowly moving across the globe. In the U.S.A. it is available through Tugg.com which shows the film at theaters for one evening which generate enough interest on their website. There is an effort to get it to the Kendall on October 16 if enough tickets are reserved in advance.
