PIG:  'tis OK.  It has the feel of a short stretched out to a film, and has a little trouble with parceling its revelations out.

THE MILLENNIUM BUG:  Yeah, that's not good.  I guess it's cool that they take pride in their practical effects, but much of this looked more artificial than CGI, which doesn't help when the acting stinks.

Which screen at the Somerville did this show at? Turnout?

The first two days have been in the 50-ish seat Micro-Cinema near the MoBA, and it's been full or very close to so both days.    I suspect that we'll be upgraded to another screen tomorrow (there were special programs and stage shows on the main screen the last couple of days, so I figure The Grey or Safe House will move to the big screen, The Vow or Chronicle will move to that screen, and we'll wind up in cinema #2 or #4 for the rest of the week, aside from Tuesday, when they've got a sneak preview of This Means War).


IN THE RENAISSANCE:  Ugh.  Terrible acting, the barest wisp of a plot, and a ton of extended establishing shots that seem to do nothing more than extend the running time.  I sort of suspect that Garen hated the idea of turning down a local filmmaker, but we need standards.

FOLKLORE:  The sort of comedy that only hits on 40-50% of its jokes, but makes up for that by having a lot of them.  Pretty decent for a micro-indie.
